After years of photographing knickers, measuring knickers, listing knickers, packing knickers, posting knickers and talking about knickers far more than any normal human being probably should...

Selling lingerie online can sometimes be tricky.
You can take 47 photographs of one pair of satin knickers from every possible angle, write a description worthy of Shakespeare and zoom in until you can practically see every individual thread...
…but there’s still nothing quite like actually seeing an item properly.
That’s why I’m so excited about eBay Live.
Instead of you looking at a few photographs and wondering:
“Is the satin actually shiny?”
“How stretchy are they?”
“What does that colour look like in real life?”
“Are those frills as fabulous as they look?”
Now I can actually SHOW YOU.
Live.

No carefully positioned product photography.

Basically, imagine a lingerie boutique crossed with a chat with your slightly unhinged friend who happens to own an unreasonable quantity of underwear.
That’s the vibe.

YES.

Going live is completely different from running an ordinary online shop.
Normally I can take a photograph again.
Rewrite something.
Delete something.
Move the knickers slightly to the left.
Move them back to the right.
Decide I preferred the first photograph after all.
Make a cup of coffee.
Have a minor business-owner crisis.
Come back two hours later.
Live doesn't quite work like that.
Once that camera goes on...
We're doing it. 😂
And actually, I think that's what I'm going to love about it.
💕 There's a Real Person Behind Gloss Glam
One of the reasons I'm excited about doing eBay Live is because I want customers to see the person behind the parcels.
Gloss Glam isn't a giant warehouse with robots firing knickers into envelopes at 400mph.
It's a small independent business.
It's me choosing stock.
Me taking photographs.
Me writing listings.
Me answering messages.
Me packing your orders.
And occasionally me staring at 200 pairs of underwear wondering how this became my life.
And I wouldn't change it. ❤️
Live selling gives me the opportunity to actually talk to you.
You can ask questions.
You can tell me which styles you love.
You can ask me to show something closer to the camera.
And I'll finally get to discover whether anybody else gets as excited about ridiculously shiny satin as I do.
🛍️ Shopping Is Changing
Online shopping has always been convenient, but sometimes it can feel a little... anonymous.
Click.
Buy.
Parcel arrives.
Done.
Live shopping brings some of the personality back.
You get to see the product.
You get to talk to the seller.
You get to join other shoppers in the chat.
And you never quite know what's going to appear next.
For a little business like Gloss Glam, that's incredibly exciting.

Some shows might concentrate on silky satin styles.

But that's half the fun. 😂
