My birthday is coming up this week, and I thought...

Why wait until the actual day to celebrate?

So this weekend marked the beginning of my birthday celebrations, and honestly, it reminded me how important it is to enjoy the little moments in life.

My boyfriend and I decided to spend some quality time together.

We didn't jump on a plane...

Although we did spend some time watching them! ✈️

We visited our local airport for a bit of plane spotting, enjoyed a lovely breakfast together, wandered around, laughed far too much, and later finished the day with a beautiful candlelit dinner.

Nothing extravagant.

Nothing rushed.

Just a simple day spent making memories.

And sometimes...

Those are the very best days.

💖 One Thing I Never Forgot...

Before we left home, I stood in front of my lingerie drawer.

And yes...

I packed my favourite silky satin knickers.

Not because I expected anyone else to see them.

Not because we were staying in a luxury hotel.

Simply because they make me feel good.

Birthdays—even birthday weeks—deserve a little extra luxury.

And I honestly believe that starts with the smallest things.

✨ Don't Save The Pretty Pair

How many times have we all done this?

Bought beautiful lingerie...

Folded it carefully...

Placed it at the front of the drawer...

And thought...

"I'll save that for a special occasion."

But here's my little birthday thought...

What if making memories is the special occasion?

A lovely breakfast together.

Watching aeroplanes.

A walk hand in hand.

A candlelit dinner.

Those moments deserve the pretty pair too.

One thing this weekend reminded me is that happiness rarely comes from expensive things.

It comes from moments.

✈️ Watching planes take off.

💕 Spending time with someone you love.

🕯️ A romantic dinner.

😂 Laughing together.

And yes...

Wearing your favourite satin knickers underneath it all.

Nobody else has to know.

But you'll know.

And sometimes that's enough to make you smile.

Now here's another little confession...

My boyfriend definitely has favourite pairs.

Every now and then he'll smile and ask,

"Are you wearing those today?"

Sometimes I am.

Sometimes I deliberately surprise him.
