What's the oldest pair of knickers in your drawer?

Now don't panic...

I'm not asking you to tell us exactly how old they are! 😂

But I have a feeling that somewhere, hidden right at the back of your lingerie drawer, there's a pair that's been with you through thick and thin.

You know the ones...

The survivors.

The veterans.

The true legends of the underwear world.

😂 Every Drawer Has "That Pair"

No matter how many beautiful silky satin knickers we buy...

No matter how much gorgeous lace we collect...

No matter how many pretty bows or colourful patterns catch our eye...

There's always that one pair.

The pair that refuses to retire.

The elastic is somehow still holding on.

The fabric has seen better days.

And yet...

There it is.

Still waiting patiently in the drawer.

💖 Why Can't We Throw Them Away?

It's funny, isn't it?

We replace towels.

We replace socks.

We replace mugs.

But somehow...

That old favourite pair of knickers survives everything.

Maybe it's because they're unbelievably comfortable.

Maybe they've moulded perfectly to us over the years.

Or maybe...

They've simply earned their place.

Like an old friend.

🌸 Then Along Come The New Ones...

Every now and then...

A beautiful new pair of silky satin knickers arrives.

Soft.

Glossy.

Perfect.

You admire them.

You promise yourself they'll become your new favourites.

And they do...

For about three days.

Then somehow...

The old faithful pair sneaks back into rotation again.

I like to imagine there's a retirement home for old knickers.

Picture it...

A lovely sunny garden.

Comfortable armchairs.

A cup of tea.

The old cotton pair saying...

"Back in my day, we didn't need lace and bows..."

Meanwhile...

The silky satin pair rolls its eyes and replies...

"Here we go again..."

The Truth Is...

Those old favourites tell a story.

They've travelled with us.

Been on holidays.

Survived washing machines.

Seen birthdays.

Celebrated milestones.

Comforted us through difficult days.

Sometimes they're more than just underwear.

They're little pieces of our lives.

✨ Maybe It's Time...

Now...

I'm not saying you should throw your oldest pair away...

But perhaps today is a good excuse to give them a well-earned rest.

And instead...

Reach for the beautiful pair.

The silky satin knickers.

The lace ones.

The pair you've been saving.

Because after all...

Your favourites deserve company too.
